Identity and strategy

Makeda Rds is a Brussels-based musician who released her first track in 2020 and I have been lucky to be involved in this project from the start.

A discussion about protecting her identity and making her music the most important part of it became the inspiration for the first photoshoot in the studio. After this, we decided to continue with this idea and create a whole identity around it that would also resonate with her music.

The first three album covers were a mixture of a hidden identity that is often used online and the content of her lyrics dealing with relationships, adultery, and secrets shared through social media.
